A stabbing in Balboa Park this Saturday morning left one man hospitalized and a suspect still at large, according to San Diego police.
Officers got the call at 5:40 a.m. in the Park West neighborhood that a 43-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen, Officer Frank Cali said. The victim was taken to a hospital with a stab wound that was not considered life-threatening.
The incident began when the victim asked the suspect for a lighter and escalated into an argument before the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim, Cali said.
The suspect was described as a white man in his early-to-mid 20s, 130 pounds, bald and not wearing a shirt.
