A man with a machete robbed a San Diego Subway restaurant, according to the authorities.
The robbery was reported at 4 p.m. Saturday at 4641 College Avenue, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims. That’s when a suspect walked into the Subway with a machete in his hand and demanded money from the employees, Heims said.
“They put an unknown amount of money in a camouflage backpack he was wearing,” Heims said.
The suspect fled southbound on College Avenue in a silver, newer-model Infiniti G35, he said.
He was described as black, age 20-30, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 190 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, red hoodie, black jeans and white gloves, carrying a camouflage backpack, Heims said.
