Sheriff’s officials in Encinitas were working Tuesday to return stolen surfboards, golf clubs and other property to the rightful owners.
Photos of the recovered items are posted at sdsheriff.net/return. Sheriff’s officials asked that theft victims note the number on the photo, complete a contact form on the screen and wait for a deputy to contact them.
In order to claim their property, victims must have a theft report from a law enforcement agency or a photo, proof of insurance, a receipt, serial number or another type of information that proves ownership.
Anyone with information on the thefts was asked to call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
