A 29-year-old man was shot in the upper left thigh while standing at a bus stop this Sunday morning in the Otay Mesa West community.
One witness reported to police at about 1:15 a.m. that he saw the victim standing at a bus stop in the 3200 block of Palm Avenue. Then he heard a gunshot and then saw the victim drop to the ground, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.
Paramedics rushed the 29-year-old man to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Heims said.
