Two arrests were made this afternoon by San Diego County sheriff‘s deputies who were conducting a probation compliance check in Vista with a focus on those who have been convicted of graffiti-related charges.
Deputies from the Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving (COPPS) Unit fanned out across the city to visit the homes of seven probationers to make sure they were in compliance with the conditions of their release from custody, according to Deputy Michelle Storms.
One juvenile was arrested for a graffiti-related probation violation, while Anthony Guzman, 19, was arrested and booked at the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of delaying/resisting a peace officer and challenging another person to fight, Storms said.
In addition to the two arrests, several pieces of evidence and criminal intelligence were gathered during the checks to be used in continuing investigations, according to Storms.
