San Diego Police sought the public’s help Thursday to find the man who broke into a business near Mission Trails Regional Park and drove off with more than $4,000 worth of tools and other items.

The thief cut a padlock and entered a gated storage area at Clear Concepts Windows and Doors on Mission Gorge Road near Princess View Drive on the morning of May 28, according to San Diego Police.

The suspect took construction tools and new glass from the window and door replacement company and drove off with the stolen property in a sliver 1994 to 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with front end damage and several stickers on the rear window, police said.

Images of the suspect and the truck were captured by surveillance cameras.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30s, around 5 feet 11 and between 175 and 200 pounds. At the time of the burglary, he was wearing a black baseball cap, blue jeans and an orange safety vest over a red long-sleeved shirt.

Anyone with information that may lead investigators to the suspect was asked to call San Diego police Detective Natalie Hone at (858) 495-7942 or call police dispatch at (619) 531-2000. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
