Electrical service was restored Thursday to hundreds of homes and businesses in Bonita, Chula Vista, National City and San Diego.
The largest of the power outages that struck Wednesday night initially affected about 1,700 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in Rancho Del Rey, Eastlake, Otay Reservoir, Sunnyside, Otay Lake and Otay Mesa, the utility reported.\
Nearly 800 utility customers in the National City and Bonita areas were also temporarily without electrical service.
Service was fully restored by about 9:45 a.m., according to SDG&E.
A combination of factors caused the outages, the utility said without elaboration.
