Two women sitting in a car in Pacific Beach were robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning by two men who remained at large, according to San Diego Police.
The two women were parked in the 4600 block of Bayard Street at about 12:20 a.m. when they were approached by a man who asked them for directions. His accomplice then approached, showed the gun and demanded their purses, according to Sgt. Michael Tansey.
The two suspects fled on foot southbound on Bayard Street toward Emerald Street. The first suspect was described as a black male in his late teens. The gunman was described as a black man in his 20s, wearing a red bandana across his face and a dark-colored jersey with the number zero on the front, Tansey said in a statement.
