A drunk man was run over by a car, which drove away in a Logan Heights alley this Sunday morning without stopping, according to police.
The incident happened at about 10 a.m. in the south alley of the 2200 block of Imperial Avenue, where the 55-year-old man was lying on the ground, said San Diego Police Officer Frank Cali. The man broke his angle from being hit. He was described by police as “very intoxicated.”
Traffic Division investigators could not find any witnesses to the suspected felony hit and run, nor was there a description of the vehicle.
The victim’s left leg was apparently run over, which also caused swelling in the knee, Cali said in a statement.
