The death of a man in North Park was being investigated by San Diego Police homicide detectives on Friday.
Several calls to 911 were made about 10 p.m. Thursday, with callers reporting a person down in the 3200 block of El Cajon Boulevard, said San Diego police homicide Lt. Ray Valentin.
A man in his late 40’s was found unconscious and not breathing by responding officers, who tried to revive him before paramedics arrived.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, had major trauma to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Valentin said.
