A retirement-age woman was killed Thursday morning in a collision on a rural East County road.
The crash, which involved a gold sedan and a silver truck, occurred on San Vicente Road at Green Haven Lane in Ramona about 10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The deadly accident remains under investigation by state and local authorities.
