Authorities released the name Tuesday of a 44-year-old man who was fatally shot last weekend during a dispute in a Lincoln Park-area neighborhood.
Patrol officers responding to a report of gunfire in the 5000 block of Reynolds Street found Aaron Allison of San Diego mortally wounded on the south side of the road shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday. Allison died at the scene from wounds to his upper body.
Witnesses reported hearing men arguing in the area just prior to the shooting and saw a small vehicle speed off to the east immediately afterward, homicide Sgt. Manny Del Toro said.
Police have released no description of the assailant.
