Authorities on Tuesday released images of a woman they believe used a stolen credit card to buy a luxury watch in San Diego.

A woman’s purse was stolen on February 17th at a Home Goods in Encinitas. The victim left her purse unattended for a few seconds in her shopping cart.

Later that day, the woman in the surveillance photos above tried to use one of the creditcards inside the stolen purse to buy a $4,000 watch at the Ben Bridge store located at the Westfield UTC mall in University City.

The transaction was declined because the victim had already cancelled her credit cards.

If you recognize this woman or know her whereabouts, call the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station and ask for Detective Heather Bruton at (760) 966‐3500 or call Crime Stoppers at (888) 580‐8477.

Callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
