An altercation between two brothers in Oceanside Wednesday left one with a stab wound to the chest and the other behind bars on suspicion of attempted murder.
The victim’s roommate called police shortly after 8:30 a.m. and told dispatchers he had detained the suspected assailant in the 1500 block of Alvarado Street after the man had stabbed his brother, said Oceanside Public Information Officer Ryan Keim.
The victim was conscious, but severely wounded when he was airlifted to Palomar Medical Center to be treated, Keim said.
The suspect was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder, Keim said. Neither the suspect or the victim were immediately identified.
