Authorities sought Thursday a teenage boy who used a demand note to rob a Normal Heights pharmacy of prescription drugs, authorities said.

The boy entered the Rite Aid on Adams Avenue near 36th Street around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, headed to the pharmacy and placed a note demanding drugs on the counter, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.

The pharmacy employee handed over an unknown amount of medication and the boy fled, Heims said. It was not immediately disclosed what type of drugs were taken.

Police described the suspect as a clean-shaven 16- or 17-year-old Hispanic boy wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt pulled up over a baseball cap, dark pants and white tennis shoes.
