A man robbed a downtown 7-Eleven at gunpoint just before sunrise on Sunday, and fled with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The incident was reported at 5:19 a.m. in the Executive Complex office building, at 1010 Second Ave., San Diego police Officer Dan Lasher said. That address is between Broadway and C Street.
“A man armed with a handgun entered the 7-Eleven store and demanded money,” Lasher said. “He placed an undetermined amount of cash in a backpack, then fled the store on foot.”
The suspect was identified as a man of undetermined race in his 20s wearing a black hooded jacket. No injuries were reported and robbery detectives were investigating.
