A driver was arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance and 11 vehicles were impounded during an overnight driver’s license/sobriety checkpoint in Chula Vista, police announced on Sunday.
Also, 21 unlicensed or suspended license citations were issued during the checkpoint in the 600 block of H Street that began at 7 p.m. Saturday and ended today at 1 a.m., the Chula Vista Police Department reported.
Four other citations were also issued for various traffic violations, at the checkpoint were 716 vehicles were screened.
