A bakery in Normal Heights was robbed Thursday by a man brandishing a gun, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Shortly after 1 p.m., the gunman went into the Incredible Cheesecake Company at 3161 Adams Ave., aimed a gun at an employee and demanded money, said Officer Frank Cali.
The type of firearm wasn’t disclosed.
Cali said the man — described as white, in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and thin — took the money and ran, heading south along Iowa Street.
The gunman wore a large-brimmed black bucket hat, a black turtleneck shirt, a long-sleeved shirt with green and gray vertical stripes and black Docker-style pants, police said.
