A 57-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle and killed in the Linda Vista neighborhood of San Diego on Friday night.
The victim was walking north along the 2900 block of Genesee Avenue about 7:30 p.m. when she attempted to cross the street in an eastbound direction, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.
She was struck by a 2005 Toyota Camry driven south on Genesee by a 44- year-old man and died at the scene, Heims said.
The woman was not in a crosswalk when she was struck, Heims said.
