A Campo man pleaded guilty Tuesday to sending obscene materials to a 12-year-old girl who appeared on the reality television show “Dance Moms.”

Phoenix Sundown, 37, also pleaded guilty to animal cruelty for posting a YouTube video in which he set a live mouse on fire in a toilet.

Sundown is scheduled to be sentenced to three years in prison at a Jan. 19 hearing in El Cajon.

Sundown mailed five packages of sexually explicit material to the 12- year-old “Dance Moms” participant. The packages arrived the first week of September in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, where the victim, who lives elsewhere, receives mail via a rented post-office box.

Sundown was arrested Sept. 1.

“Dance Moms” is a Lifetime channel reality show that follows mothers and children with show business aspirations.
