A pair of violent stabbings landed two San Diego men in the hospital, police reported on Sunday.
The first attack happened at 7:20 p.m., Saturday in the alley near 4100 Highland Ave. in City Heights. The 45-year-old victim was confronted by the alleged assailant, who was riding his bicycle toward him, according to San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims. The victim was stabbed with an unknown weapon at least three times in his left side.
He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene on his black and red bicycle. The suspect was described as a Cuban man in his 40s and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans, Heims said.
In an unrelated incident, a 21-year-old man was attacked just before 9:10 p.m., at the Linda Vista library, 2160 Ulric St. The victim was stabbed in the upper right back by an unknown suspect and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Heims said. He was expected to survive.
