Authorities sought the public’s help Friday to identify whoever fatally shot two people and wounded a third as they sat in a car in a Colina Del Sol-area convenience store parking lot last weekend.

Oceanside residents Deon Fontaine Peterson, 27, and Joseph Anthony Ponder, 26, were killed in the gunfire on El Cajon Boulevard near 52nd Street around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, according to San Diego Police and Crime Stoppers.

One of two women in the Nissan sedan was also shot by at least one of four people the victims’ were involved in an argument with just before the shooting, authorities said.

The suspects fled before police arrived.

Police described two of the suspects as black men of between 20 and 25 years old. One was roughly 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds with a mustache and a small afro and was wearing a blue Adidas jacket with white stripes on the sleeves and gray saggy jeans. The other was about 5 feet 6 and 150 pounds wearing a burgundy baseball cap with a “Polo” logo, a white long sleeve shirt and light jeans.

A third suspect was described as a black woman of 20 to 25, about 5 feet 6 and 120 pounds with curly hair worn in a bushy ponytail. She was wearing a black Raiders jacket.

The fourth was a Hispanic woman of about the same age, and about 5 feet 2 and 145 pounds with black hair pulled back into a bun. She had on a white V- neck long sleeve shirt and black sweatpants with an orange stripe.
