A shooting occurred at a home in Mira Mesa early on Saturday. At around 12:14 a.m., an argument broke out between two men because one of them tried to crash a house party in the 8800 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard with a group of other men, San Diego police said.

The group left after the altercation, but according to Officer Robert Heims, the attempted party crasher returned later and fired his gun into a window near the door, hitting the man he had argued with. The victim was hit in the right shin and was taken to a hospital by his friends, Heims said.

The suspect fled to an unknown location. Heims described him as a black man his 20s with a muscular build and a Mohawk.
