San Diego State Police searched Thursday morning for six young men who stole a student’s cellphone in a strong-arm robbery.

The six approached an SDSU student on campus near the Education and Business Administration Building in the 6000 block of Aztec Circle Drive around 1 a.m. and demanded his cellphone, authorities said. They then allegedly assaulted the student and took his backpack and cellphone before fleeing toward parking structure 6, dropping the victim’s property along the way.

Police said the primary suspect is a black male, 18-21 years old, last seen wearing a red T-shirt, beanie, cargo shorts and Nike sandals. The other suspects are described as black males between 18-21 years old.
