A 31-year-old woman was injured Monday when a taxi cab turned into the path of her scooter in Mission Bay Park.

The 45-year-old man behind the wheel of the Toyota Prius cab allegedly hit the scooter as he attempted to turn left from northbound East Mission Bay Drive into the driveway of the Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa around 5:15 p.m., according to San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The scooter crashed into the Prius and caused its rider a serious, but not life-threatening leg injury, Delimitros said.
