A man was stabbed and robbed in the Midway District of San Diego on Saturday, according to police.
The 46-year-old victim was sleeping in front of a business in the 3100 block of Jefferson Street when a man began punching him at about 4:20 a.m., according to Sgt. Ray Battrick.
The victim was stabbed twice in the back with what officials described as a sharp object. The suspect then stole the man’s wallet and fled the scene.
Battrick said the victim’s wounds were non-life threatening. The suspect was described as a 6-foot tall black man who weighed about 190 pounds.
