An unidentified caller’s bogus claim that bombs had been planted at a North County intermediary school Friday prompted authorities to evacuate the campus and search it.

An emergency dispatcher received the telephone threat regarding Sullivan Middle School in Bonsall shortly after 7:30 a.m., according to sheriff’s officials.

School administrators removed students and employees to a safe location while deputies searched the West Lilac Road campus.

No hazardous devices or materials were found, and classes resumed about 9 a.m., officials said.
