A man was found shot to death in Balboa Park on Sunday, according to San Diego Police.
They found the man unresponsive next to the baseball fields at the Morley Field Veledrome area, around 7:10 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives were called to investigate. He was first identified only as a 44-year-old man.
There was no immediate word from police on where or when the shooting occurred, or what the man’s name was.
