A woman was fatally injured in a fiery crash Thursday morning on a freeway off-ramp at the San Diego-Lemon Grove city line.
The motorist’s car overturned on the off-ramp from westbound state Route 94 to College Avenue shortly after 2:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver was taken to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The crash sparked a small brushfire near the off-ramp, but it was later extinguished by a passer-by, authorities said.
The off-ramp was temporarily blocked but later cleared, the CHP said.
