San Diego Police were on the lookout Thursday for a man who attempted to rob a taco shop in the Mission Hills neighborhood at gunpoint, but ran off empty-handed.

The suspect approached the service window at Dos Brasas on San Diego Avenue near Noell Street and pointed a handgun at two employees shortly after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said. But he didn’t say anything and the employees walked to the back of the business.

The suspect ran off and headed south on San Diego Avenue.
