A 25-year-old woman not wearing a seatbelt was flung from the car she rode in when it crashed in San Ysidro before dawn Sunday, suffering serious head trauma, police said.
The car made an unsafe movement left and hit a palm tree at 4:38 a.m. in the 3800 block of Camino De La Plaza, San Diego Police Department Officer Dan Lasher said.
The car’s driver suffered a broken ankle, Lasher said.
Both were taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Lasher said.
Police suspected alcohol to be a factor in the crash, Lasher said.
