A stabbing in a neighborhood near Lower Otay Lake left one man dead this afternoon and another in custody, authorities reported.
The fatal assault in the 2800 block of Cielo Circulo in Chula Vista was reported at 5:45 p.m., according to Chula Vista police. The victim died at the scene.
An officer took the suspect into custody nearby a short time later, Lt. Dan Peak said.
The men’s names were not immediately available.
The motive for the stabbing was unclear, though it reportedly occurred during a fight, the lieutenant said.
