A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach as he was leaving a downtown bar around closing time early Friday.
The victim got into an argument with two men as they were all leaving Maloney’s Tavern on Fifth Avenue near F Street shortly before 2 a.m., San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said. At some point during the altercation, one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the victim.
Medics took the injured man to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which Heims described as non-life-threatening.
Police located and arrested one of the suspects, but the other got away, Heims said.
