A man was stabbed and killed in downtown San Diego Sunday, police said.
The victim, 43, called San Diego police and said that he had been stabbed in his chest at the 400 block of Broadway at 3:15 a.m. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
Officers arrived quickly and arrested the suspect, identified as Santiago Gonzalez Abraham, Jr., 64.
He was booked into San Diego County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Wednesday, Lt. Mike Hastings said.
The details of Abraham’s bail were not released.
A crime scene was set up and remained on Broadway, between Fourth and Fifth streets just east of Horton Plaza, into the late morning.
