A 38-year-old man, possibly under the influence of alcohol, suffered a serious head injury Saturday when he fell off his motorized scooter in the Rancho Penasquitos section of San Diego.
The crash in the 12600 block of Darkwood Road occurred at 2:34 a.m., said San Diego police officer Frank Cali.
Paramedics rushed the man to an area hospital, Cali said.
