An apparently suicidal woman leaped to her death Tuesday from a freeway bridge near the Sweetwater Reservoir.
Witnesses reported seeing a pedestrian next to a parked car on the transition ramp from eastbound State Route 54 to southbound SR-125 in Spring Valley shortly after 1 p.m., then jump over the side, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman landed on Quarry Road and died at the scene, the CHP reported.
