San Diego Police were on the lookout Wednesday for a man who attempted to rob a bank in the City Heights neighborhood, but fled prior to receiving any money.

The would-be robber passed a demand note to an employee at the Bank of America at 4166 El Cajon Boulevard around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, but left before the employee could respond, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said.

Police described the suspect as a white man in his late 20s, about 5 feet 5 and 175 pounds. He was wearing all black clothing and sunglasses.
