A small plane made an emergency landing on Prospect Avenue in Santee on Saturday, hitting a parked car as it came to a stop.
No injuries were reported, either in the car or the plane, Heartland Fire & Rescue firefighters said.
The emergency landing was not far from the end of a runway at Gillespie Field, a general-aviation airport.
A witness told a San Diego television station, FOX5, that the plane went through an intersection around 10:30 a.m. and hit a car parked on the street.
The San Diego Sheriff’s Department told FOX5 that the two people in the plane, and the man in the car, were not injured.
The reason for the landing was not released. The FAA was called to investigate.
