A $10,000 reward was offered Friday for information leading to the arrest of whomever has been shooting at a San Diego Gas & Electric building and other Kearny Mesa businesses over the past few months.
The first of the shootings was reported at a 7-Eleven on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard on the night of Jan. 18, according to San Diego police and Crime Stoppers. The same convenience was sprayed with bullets again shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday.
Shootings were also reported at San Diego Tire and Wheel on Convoy Street on Jan. 30, and the Resned building on Spectrum Center Boulevard sometime over a month ending April 28.
The SDG&E building at 8326 Century Park Court was struck on the morning of April 17 and again on May 8, authorities said. The utility company has since put up $10,000 for information leading to a suspect’s arrest.
No one was hurt in any of the shootings, but the buildings were occupied during four of the six attacks, police said.
In two of the shootings, a gray SUV, possibly a newer Jeep Cherokee, was caught on surveillance video driving by the businesses, police said.
Anyone with information on the identity of the shooter or shooters or the whereabouts of the SUV was asked to call police at (858) 495-7964, or to contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477 or via email at sdcrimestoppers.org.
