A car crash on a rural road near the Barona Casino left one person dead Thursday afternoon.
The accident occurred about 4 p.m. on Wildcat Canyon Road, near Barona Road in the Lakeside area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim’s name was not immediately available.
The wreck left traffic lanes closed in the immediate area into the early evening, the CHP reported.
