93.3 KHTS-FM Kick-Off Concert Series Ends in Alcohol Sting

A radio station’s “Summer Kickoff” concert at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre went badly for one adult and 17 minors, were who cited in an alcohol-related sting, Chula Vista Police said Saturday.

The adult was cited for giving alcohol to a minor , the other cited with underage drinking. The youngest illicit partier was 15 years old.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, made the arrests as they conducted a “special enforcement operation” at the “Summer Kickoff” sponsored by Channel 93.3, KHTS-FM. The task force was funded by California’s Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control .

The suspects were detained, cited and released and must appear in court at a later date. The adult faces a minimum $1,000 fine and 24 hours of community service.
