North County residents whose bicycles have been ripped off recently may be able to get them back following the discovery this month of nearly three dozen bikes suspiciously stockpiled in two Carlsbad homes, authorities announced Wednesday.
Officers investigating a rash of local bicycle thefts made the discoveries Friday and Tuesday. Arrested on various drug charges during the second residential search were Joshua Brandt, 35, Brian Gutierrez, 32, Steven Gutierrez, 30, Che Stang, 31, and Keelan Stocks, 35, Carlsbad Police spokeswoman Jodee Sasway said.
The apparent thefts of the 35 recovered bicycles remain under investigation.
