Two men were stabbed in unrelated attacks Monday night in the North Park and the Mountain View neighborhoods.
The first stabbing occurred during a fight at a bus stop at the corner of 30th Street and El Cajon Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. The 28-year-old suspect rode his bicycle up to the 19-year-old victim and an argument ensued. The fight quickly turned physical and the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim once in his chest, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The victim’s stab wound was not considered life-threatening. Delimitros said the suspect got away, but his identity is known.
Three hours later, a 27-year-old man was stabbed once in the chest for unknown reasons outside a KFC restaurant on Marketplace Avenue near Imperial Avenue, Delimitros said.
That suspect also escaped. Police said he was Hispanic, 5 feet 8 and 130 pounds with short hair and a beard. He was last seen running south toward a Home Depot store.
