A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on Route 163 in the Linda Vista area early Saturday.
The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of the freeway near Genesee Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was reportedly struck at 12:25 a.m.
The CHP did identify the victim and no other information was immediately available. Times of San Diego will update this article as more details are forthcoming.
