Oceanside Police sought the public’s help Thursday to locate a 12-year-old girl who disappeared near the pier and remained missing overnight.
Haile Hopkins left her home on Greenbrier Drive near Oceanside Boulevard Wednesday and was last seen around 4:30 p.m. in the vicinity of the Oceanside Pier, Oceanside Police acting Sgt. Kathryn Held said. She is regarded as at risk due to undisclosed health issues that required scheduled treatments, she said.
The sergeant said nothing so far had pointed to suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
Haile is black, 5 feet 5 and 142 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
