An investigation was under way Monday into a shooting in Emerald Hills that may have left a 25-year-old man wounded.
An initial search of Emerald Hills Park on Bethune Court did not turn up a victim following a shots fired call around 8 p.m. Sunday, but a wounded man showed up at Sharp Grossmont Hospital about an hour later, San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The man was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, but refused to cooperate with officers, Delimitros said. Police believed he may have been involved in the shooting at the park.
Delimitros said gang unit detectives have launched an investigation.
