A man was struck by a hit-and-run driver Monday morning in Mira Mesa.
A witness told police a dark compact hit the victim around 6:15 a.m. in the vicinity of Gold Coast and Westonhill drives, San Diego Police Officer Matt Tortorella said.
The seriously injured pedestrian was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla to be treated, he said.
