A 47-year-old man was in grave condition after being shot Saturday afternoon in downtown San Diego’s East Village neighborhood.
Officers flagged down about 4:40 p.m. by two people in the 1500 block of J Street located the victim, who was suffering a gunshot wound to his head, Lt. Paul Rorrison of the San Diego Police Department‘s Homicide Unit said.
“The victim was transported to UCSD Medical Center in grave condition and is not expected to survive,” Rorrison said.
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of kin.
