A 7-year-old girl reported on Monday that a stranger tried to lure her into his car while she walked alongside a North County street.
The man approached the child near Skyline Elementary School on Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Beach about 3 p.m., according to sheriff’s officials. When he told her to get into his vehicle, described as a silver SUV with a black top, she fled, unharmed.
Deputies searched the area for the man through the late afternoon.
