A 67-year-old Potrero man in was custody Monday on suspicion of murdering his neighbor during an argument.
The suspect, identified as Mike Walliser, called 911 around 6:45 p.m. Sunday and “stated that he had shot another man due to threats he, the victim, had repeatedly made threats against him,” according to San Diego County Sheriff‘s Lt. John Maryon.
Upon arrival at 23531 Coyote Holler Road, a deputy was flagged down by the suspect, who surrendered without incident, the homicide lieutenant said in a statement.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending family notification.
